General guidance

Florida heat and class pacing

Class plans often assume a long cool morning. Here, storms cut the window, and indoor rooms still feel heavy when the air stays muggy.

Weather window

Watch the radar before outdoor class time. A short pour can strand wet materials and half-done work. Plan a covered pause.

Pacing

Split dense blocks with water and stretch breaks. Planning language only — not a staffing or accreditation claim.

Indoor rooms after rain

Central Florida classrooms stay muggy after a midday storm. Crack a door or run a fan for a few minutes before dense desk work so paper and markers do not stick.

Keep water bottles filled at the start of a block. Heat fatigue shows up as rushed cleanup more often than as a dramatic stop.
